It is, of course, a clone of the Kyocera model and was widely distributed in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a long time, I considered that a satisfactory emulator already existed (Virtual\u202fT), and therefore I did not see the relevance of integrating it into PockEmul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon closer inspection, however, I realized that Virtual\u202fT had not been maintained for quite some time. That is when I decided to take on the challenge myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have now completed the first phase, with a version that boots and runs correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/?attachment_id=2392\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"799\" src=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-1024x799.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2392\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-1024x799.png 1024w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-300x234.png 300w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-768x599.png 768w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4-1200x937.png 1200w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-4.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>I now need to finalize the remaining details, including the I\/O handling as well as the special modules developed by the community, and ultimately make the whole system robust and reliable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is still a lot of work ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Micro Professor MPF-1P<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the iconic introductory machines of that era. I am not sure whether it was distributed worldwide, but in France it was heavily advertised and, I believe, met with a certain degree of success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have, of course, added the printer, and my long\u2011term goal is to allow users to click directly on the chips in order to swap them to install new ROMs with apps and languages (Forth, &#8230;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/?attachment_id=2394\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"793\" src=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6-1024x793.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6-1024x793.png 1024w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6-300x232.png 300w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6-768x594.png 768w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6-1536x1189.png 1536w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6-1200x929.png 1200w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-6.png 1708w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also created a small animation to reduce its form factor, making it better suited to the smaller screens of our mobile devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/?attachment_id=2395\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"498\" height=\"536\" src=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/mpf1p.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2395\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Seiko UC-2200<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The very first smartwatch!!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/?attachment_id=2398\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2398\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-8.png 512w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-8-300x205.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 85vw, 512px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It could be connected to a dock containing a Z\u201180 CPU, a printer, and an external ROM module, turning it into a fully autonomous computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this configuration, the watch itself acted as the display for the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the PockEmul enthusiasts managed to dump the ROM from the dock, and for now I am only at the very beginning of the work, as there is virtually no technical documentation available for this model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A proprietary chip appears to handle both the keyboard and the communication with the watch. The same chip is also used in the UC\u20112100, which is a keyboard\u2011only expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/?attachment_id=2399\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"552\" src=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-9.png 736w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-9-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The task ahead looks incredibly challenging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I do not yet have access to the watch\u2019s ROM, but I hope to be able to simulate it relatively easily\u2014at least its display functionality. I believe this model has never been emulated before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Psion Series 5mx<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/?attachment_id=2400\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"788\" src=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-10-1024x788.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-10-1024x788.png 1024w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-10-300x231.png 300w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-10-768x591.png 768w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-10-1200x923.png 1200w, https:\/\/pockemul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image-10.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have always found this machine incredibly appealing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know it is not an 1980s machine, but it is contemporary with some pocket computers such as the Sharp PC\u2011G850 or the Casio Z\u20111 already emulated in PockEmul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also autonomously programmable using the OPL language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal, however, is to make its use as a PDA truly interesting.<br>To achieve this, I plan to provide Internet access through the host system (mobile or desktop) and possibly even synchronize the calendar and contacts with the mobile device.<br>I am fully aware that this may raise potential personal data security concerns. The responsibility will lie with the user\u2014but it could be really cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For now, it boots and I have to focus on the I\/O (serial and IR) and the Compact Flash management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Perfect emulation is an infinite quest.
